About me
I have over ten years experience in online media.
Having started out in newspapers (internet wasn’t around), I can safely claim to have been one of the first bloggers before the term had even been coined. It was 1996 and self-taught raw HTML-coding was the only option.
Naturally, I migrated to digital media and got involved with 24.com at its inception on the content production side in the late 90’s. Then I became the first newspaper multi-media editor in the country, although the job specs were nowhere near as exciting as they are today.
Post-MBA (focusing on e-strategy), I’ve managed several web teams and start-ups. I now work on Internet and Web2.0 strategy at Naspers and oversee a number of sites, start-ups and turn-around strategies.
