Twitter trends show collective thinking

Another indication of how Twitter is becoming a real-time barometer of social thinking and global conversation. Michael Jackson’s memorial service has been dominating Twitter all day long. Evidently, the world was especially moved by the words of his daughter, Paris Katherine, whose tears ended the event. Straight after ceremony, the top trending terms according to Twitscoop related to this, as seen in this screen grab, taken about 5 minutes afterwards:
